The University of Plymouth is a public research university based predominantly in Plymouth, England, where the main campus is located, but the university has campuses and affiliated colleges across South West England. With 18,410 students, it is the 57th largest in the United Kingdom by the total number of students (including the Open University).
The University of Plymouth has been honored with a Queen’s Anniversary Prize, The highest national award that can be bestowed upon an educational institution, on three occasions: 1994, 2011, and 2019. The university also ranked 4th in the world for marine and 15th in the world for climate action in THE Impact Rankings 2022. According to The Times and The Sunday Times 2021, it is amongst UK’s top 25 for teaching quality. World University Rankings 2021 ranks it amongst the World’s top 25% for research citations. The university also boasts higher employment rates with over 96% of graduates working, studying, starting employment, or further study 15 months after graduating.
